June 8th ~ What's Your Pleasure?
| I've been working
on my laptop all day out here on my screened porch. It's beautiful
weather and hoards of hummingbirds are keeping me company. They
are very entertaining, bringing me much pleasure with their aerial
displays and continuous chattering. What a joy it is to
be surrounded by such magical creatures! Anthony Robbins said,
"My definition of success is to live life in a way that
causes you to feel a ton of pleasure and very little pain - and
because of your lifestyle, also to have the people around you
feel a lot more pleasure than they do pain." This sounds
like a great philosophy to me! How about you? |

May 6th ~ It's What You Choose
| It's been more
than a month since my last post! Things have changed here and
yet everything remains the same. I've been thinking a lot lately
about how our mind and attitude determines our circumstances.
Today's InspirationEveryday
quote by Banne Younker sums it up for me here; "Nothing
is carved in stone unless that is what you choose." My message
here today is also encapsulated in the two quotes below. |
|
"A man cannot directly choose
his circumstances, but can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly,
yet surely, shape his circumstances." ~ James Allen
"Just thinking a thought
and feeling the emotions as if it is already a reality can really
help bring it to fruition." ~ Sandy Sandy

April 1st ~ Happy April Fool's
Day, Easter & Spring
| Taking a vacation
from blogging the past couple of weeks has given me a different
perspective on it. Truth is, I think I was getting a little bogged
down and blogged out. After more than 450 consecutive Spirit
Art posts in four + years, I decided to loosen up and skip a
few posts. You know, breaking the habit wasn't all that bad.
A bit surprising, but the world didn't change one little bit.
In fact, I sometimes wonder if anyone even noticed. Humm, guess
it's time to regroup. Spring always seems to have a way of doing
that to me anyway. So friends, until I write again, hope your
holidays and the season ahead are filled with lots of surprises
- of only the very best kind! |

"The important thing is
this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what
we could become." ~ Charles du Bois
"Every time I've made a
radical change it's helped me feel buoyant as an artist."
~ David Bowie
